Claudia Fernández

Claudia Fernández was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia in 1967. 

Audiovisual director and producer, she has created more than a hundred works in various film genres since her beginnings in 1986. Her work falls within the genre of Author Cinema, being director, producer, screenwriter, camerawoman and editor of most of her films.
She has made television programs, documentaries, spots, clips, shorts and video art in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia, standing out in the area of ​​video art and documentary.
Her experience in Cultural Management gained strength in 2013 when she took over the franchise of the International Film Festival “The 48 Hour Film Project” in Bolivia, and expanded it to 20 host cities of the 48HFP, becoming Regional Producer of the 48HFP in Latin America. In this framework, she created the IberoÁ Festival and the "Cinexpress" Film streaming platform in which 48HFP Film Festivals and allied Festivals were held until 2022.
As part of her creative experience, she produces three feature films made in 48 days by teams from several countries that communicate online, of which “Legend Within” stands out, a feature film in Co Production from 5 continents.
She is currently working on the presentation of a video art installation made with open source images and artificial intelligence. This project aims to open an interactive gaming space to encourage remixing and the use of AI as a creative tool.
