About Sofie
I was born and raised in Belgium, in the Flemish part, near Brussels. For those who do not know Belgium: it means I was raised in a multilingual, international, and politically complicated setting. TV-wise it means I was raised watching both local and international shows, uncensored and in their original language. So I was able to enjoy Pulp Fiction without a single beep, and learn English along the way.
I have been passionate about television and movies for as long as I can remember. I have been imagining my own stories for as long as I can remember. Yet, as a young girl, when deciding what to study at university, I followed my brains (and advice of grown-ups) rather than my heart, and my heart has been reminding me of it ever since. Therefore in my private time I have been educating myself in screenwriting and exploring opportunities to make it my occupation.
