About Silvia
Silvia Leonetti, born in 1994, is a multi award film music composer for cinema, television, documentary and adv.
During her career, she worked on several soundtracks and she is also constantly collaborating with important Italian film music composers.
She had some collaborations with International productions and for this, she has been elegible for two times for “Best Original Score and Best Original Song” for Oscar and Golden Globe in 2017 - 2018.
She also writes music for theater and discography and she works as orchestrator and arranger for other composers.
During her career she noticed the high gender inequality in the film Industry, especially inside the sound deparment. For this reason, she started getting real sensitive to the woman rule in the film Industry. Her experience has served to understand the inequality and she has decided to become a member of the board of “Mujeres nel Cinema”.
and she decided to join the association Women in Film, Tv, Media Italia and AWFC (Alliance for Women Film Composers),
Lastly, she is an active member of the LGBTQI+ Community and also for this reason she supports the battle for equality and discrimination.
