I believe in the power of words to impact people in a positive way, and stories can open doors and create awareness that help to build stronger communities. We love to be entertained and sometimes that entertainment can cause a person to look in the mirror and better relate to themselves and the world in which we live.
I started out as an independent filmmaker almost 20 years ago and have developed and implemented shorts or feature scripts around a number of social issues including HIV/AIDS, Domestic violence, and challenges in life. I graduated from film school (LAFS) in July 2017 with degrees in Film and Entertainment Business.
I enjoy writing drama, comedy, and sci-fi stories that are rooted in how we perceive the world today.
I'm the author of "Memoirs In The Moment: The Daily Walk With PTSD", a book written to help others better understand whay it's like to have PTSD and, more importantly, how one can learn to manage it.
I'm currently in the Writers Guild of America Veterans Writing Program. I served in the Marine Corps and Air Force and my name was recently unveiled on a plaque at The National Museum of the Marine Corps for service during the 1983 Beirut, Lebanon bombing.
Throughout my life as a filmmaker I've leveraged my life experiences, lessons learned, and the many challenges I've overcome to write compelling, rich, and engaging screenplays about life as it's experienced by a wide selection of people. I love words. They are everything.
