Since he was a kid he has been a movie fanatic, but who would've thought he would be directing, writing, and producing his films. His filmmaking started in 2020 when he attended Mediatech Institute of Dallas where he was studying and pursuing his Recording Arts Degree. Tim Kimsey taught him everything he needed to know about Post-Production for mixing, mastering, and sound design for TV and film. A few months later he got his first job as a sound editor/designer for the short film "The Miracle" and later a feature "Love Torn Between Two". Deshawn also started acting and when he started to write a monologue he decided to turn it into a full feature script in three weeks.Nonetheless, that's when he knew that filmmaking was his calling.

Next thing you know he started with a Panasonic G7 camera and started shooting music videos around the Dallas-Fort Worth- Arlington areas in Texas. He even got the chance to shoot his first commercial for a local restaurant business. Furthermore, he would get his first Directing debut for the film "When Love Prevails" now available on streaming services like TUBI. The movie was improvised and shot without a script. Now Deshawn is on his way to becoming one of the best Directors and filmmakers in Hollywood. Join him as I explore the art of visual storytelling and the magic of filmmaking.
