Christopher Hebert is a Telly Award-winning camera operator and cinematographer based in the Greater Boston area. His cinematography style leans towards cinema vérité.
Christopher grew up in Central Massachusetts, graduating from Fitchburg State University with a degree in film and video production in 2013. After spending time in Los Angeles working for a post-production house and freelance work as a grip, he began work as a videographer and editor at an award-winning creative agency in Worcester, Mass. Over the next few years, he collaborated with clients in education, health care, aerospace, and corporate sectors before joining tech media firm International Data Group (now known as Foundry).
In his role at IDG, Christopher has created content that include event coverage, product reviews, corporate interviews, and mini-documentaries. He has produced videos at major events, including the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), PAX East/West, CES, AWS, Black Hat, DEFCON, Mobile World Congress, and many more. He has worked with several technology media publications, including Macworld, Computerworld, PC World, and Network World, and has created review videos of products from Sony, Microsoft, LG, and Apple, among others. In creating video content for these publications, Christopher has traveled globally, including Singapore, Barcelona, Montreal, and beyond.
Christopher also helped developed the company’s live streaming capabilities, allowing him to produce several technology business podcasts for , Computerworld, and the Foundry marketing team. Titles here include “CIO Leadership Live,” “Today in Tech,” and “On the Road with Rick Currier”, which can be found on YouTube. In 2018, Christopher and his team won a Telly Award for the mini-documentary series “Smart Cities,” which has garnered more than 1.5 million views.
Christopher is highly experienced with all of Canon's cinema line of cameras, including the C300, C500, C70, C100, and C200.
After nearly a decade of run-and-gun camera work, Christopher has shaped his cinematography style towards cinéma vérité filmmaking. He continues to hone his craft to become a creative engine in the film and video industry and is always up for a challenge to produce engaging and story-driven content.
