About Kaat

At the age of 8 when I saw The Grudge for the first time, I was determined to become a horror filmmaker. However, while at film school, I also discovered a profound love for comedy— the more tragic and absurd, the better.

My passion for storytelling stems from always feeling a little different from others. This has never made me insecure—quite the opposite. I’ve always felt the need to share my vivid imagination and open mindset with others, offering new perspectives. I prefer to do this by first disarming my audience with comedy, then hitting them in the guts with drama. My goal is to confront them with problematic behaviors in an engaging way, but also to surprise them with authentic, thought-provoking solutions.

Always ready for adventure, I feel most comfortable when outside of my comfort zone!
