About Dan

Writer / Producer / Director / Line Producer / Production Manager / and former stand-up comedian from Rochester, New York (near Buffalo). Growing up in a snow bank filled with discarded Buffalo Bills memorabilia, Dan was forced to find the lighter side of life and began writing and performing comedy at a young age. Dan moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to study improvisation at The Groundlings, and spent his first years in LA acting & doing stand-up comedy before becoming established in production. He has performed in & produced live stand-up comedy shows in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, Las Vegas, New Orleans and more. More recently, Dan has worked with Miramax Films (including 5 features on-production and 7 other films as part of the studio's in-house production team in 2022-'23), as well as Scott Free Productions, FilmNation, IPC, Netflix, and others.

Dan is currently a freelance producer with a slate of film & television projects seeking funding, potential pre-sales, and production support. Included in this slate is "Through the Desert" an original comedic VFX thriller written by Lawler which he also intends to direct; Dan's production company, Snow Day Conspiracy owns all rights. After years of making other people’s movies, Dan is excited to now be making his own.

Unique traits: Great sense of humor. Excellent with mathematics (through Calculus III in college). Loves Canada, and prefers snow to heat any day.
