SYNOPSIS:

GALOPIN, a young and eager crow, dreams of soaring through the sky. But after a clumsy first attempt at flying, he loses a flight feather and must wait for it to grow back. While his parents are out searching for food, Galopin sets off on a little adventure of his own. Along the way, he meets ZIPPY, a playful skunk, and the two quickly become friends. They share a tasty meal, play a fun game of "she loves me, she loves me not," and dip their feet into a cool, refreshing river. Later, Galopin crosses paths with a GRASSHOPPER, who inspires him to try a new way of getting around — hopping and galloping!

Near his nest, he spots a mysterious LADY watching him from her window, which sends him running off in a panic. He crosses the street in haste, crawls under a bush, and falls asleep. The next morning, he is awakened by a grumpy and territorial SQUIRREL who shoos him away. Though the Squirrel is a bit moody, he allows Galopin to peck for insects on his land before he heads home. As Galopin recrosses the street, he is attacked by a group of starlings. The Squirrel, witnessing the attack, realizes that Galopin can’t fly and is an easy target for the GRAY SCRUFFY CAT that prowls nearby. The Squirrel finds him shelter in the top branches of a tall pine tree. As winter approaches, Galopin struggles to find food, but with the help of his new friend, the Squirrel, he learns to forage for survival. The mysterious lady quietly helps Galopin by leaving food at the base of the pine tree. Her kindness sparks Galopin’s desire to repay her. He sets off to find the perfect gift for the lady, eventually discovering a shiny bracelet, which he proudly wears around his neck for the time being as a token of gratitude. His generous spirit doesn’t go unnoticed. Impressed by his selflessness, a flock of crows declares him their new king. Though overwhelmed by his new role, Galopin learns that leadership comes with both responsibility and respect. In this moment of growth, he sees his parents watching from afar, proud of the young crow he has become. With his flight feather fully regrown, Galopin takes to the skies, soaring to join his family as the new leader of the crows.
