Of Argentine and South African descent, Maria Jose Bavio graduated from Drama School in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2000.
During her studies she joined an Independent Theatre Company that focused on new writing, physical dance theatre and nights of Cafe Concert at their Theatre Bar called 'Banfield Teatro Ensamble'.
In 2005 she moved to London where she started her screen acting career doing TV commercials, Corporate Videos & Short Films.
She was recently cast as Maria Picasso Lopez along side Antonio Banderas, Alex Rich, Robert Sheehan, Samantha Colley, Aisling Franciosi, T. R. Knight, Sebastian Roché and Seth Gabel in the second season of the critically acclaimed and 2 Emmy winner- National Geographic series Genius: Picasso.
She's been studying at Anthony Meindl's Actors Workshop (AMAW London) for the past 4 years.
She is also co-founder of a Theatre Company called The Chronic Love Dispensary but has recently stepped down as producer to focus on her acting career.
