About David

David E. Mitchell is an American composer from Chicago, Illinois. With his Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Video, he has a deeper understanding of the relationship between visuals and audio, more specifically film and music. With years of experience in television, film and video production, his knowledge of production sits at a different level than most composers.

His musical background includes jazz, funk, pop, orchestral, electronic, and experimental music with over 14 years of professional classical piano training. Mr. Mitchell will be receiving his Master of Fine Arts degree in Music Composition for the Screen from Columbia College Chicago. David has made his musical presence known by performing, consulting, producing and scoring film and audio projects.

His credits include television, short films, animations, albums and singles including Coming of Age Films directed by Dan Conway, The Last Kiss directed by Everett Bunker, award-winning commercials for PBS and more. He has recently combined his talents with Singer/Actress Ashley Lauren-Elrod and Vocalist/Actress Kim Nic'e Dorsey on their latest albums and singles.
