"Holding On" librettist Jay Blotcher has been a journalist for three decades, writing about the arts. He has written for The New York Times, Backstage, Salon and The Advocate and his nonfiction essays appear in seven anthologies. He was co-director with Charley Beal of the 2003 documentary “Heroes,” about Eagle Scout James Dale’s landmark court case, which appeared at film festivals across the United States. Blotcher lives in the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York. The librettist is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America, Inc.
