Ed Beach has worked as sports broadcaster, news reporter and in public relations. He spent seven years working in professional baseball serving as a broadcaster and media relations director for minor league teams in the Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals organizations.
Beach got his start in broadcasting at the age of 17 and was youngest full-time play-by-play broadcaster at the Double-A baseball level in 1995 working in Knoxville, Tenn. He spent two years in minor league hockey including calling the 2001 United Hockey League champion Quad City Mallards. He worked a season in the Continental Basketball Association in Harrisburg, Pa. and spent a year as a news reporter for a radio station in Missouri.
He is a graduate of Drury University with degrees in Communications and English. He also has a master's degree from Drury in Communications - Integrated Marketing Stategies.
Beach currently serves as the communications director and broadcaster for the Athletics Department at Evangel University, a small college in Missouri. He also serves as an adjunct member of the faculty teaching classes in broadcasting, public speaking and sports journalism. He is new to the world of screenwriting.
