I spent the vast majority of my high school days in the darkroom, drawing or painting. I studied art history and photography at the University of Illinois. Moved to Chicago and studied cinematography at Columbia. After graduating, I shot dozens of short films, commercials and two small features. I worked for the Washington Post as their resident cinematographer prior to moving to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles I continued my education in cinematography and storytelling at The American Film Institute where I just recently graduated with my MFA.
