About Peter

PETER DIAZ is a Toronto-based filmmaker and founder of High Flight Films. As a writer/director his credits include the short films Wish It Could Last, Prelude (a YouTube Project: Direct Top 20 finalist in 2008), Detour, The Unsaid, A Solemn Consideration, Lucidity, the documentary Robert Thomas Payne, and the Jon Levine Band's debut music video for "Happy"

Projects in development for Diaz include producing and writing the relationship drama web series Sweet Jane and writing a prequel web series based on the dramatic television series Empire State.

In addition to his work behind the camera, Diaz is also an actor, appearing in his own short Prelude, as well as the short films Jersey Road, Blood and HitRECord: RECollection, Vol. 1 - Sonnet 29.

A graduate of York University's English Language and Literature program and Radio and Television Broadcasting at Seneca College, Diaz's first exposure to filmmaking was working on the feature Ham & Cheese from director Warren P. Sonada.
