Hi everyone. I need some basic advice concerning a screenplay of mine. I was recently approached by a producer who wants to pitch my script. she cannot option it, unfortunately, but she has some good contacts, has a few credits and is somewhat know in the community. Her contract is a net 5% and she will edit, tighten up the script and go out to attach "A" list talent. She wants a two year deal. I need to know if the contract should be on the gross and not the net. Can anyone give me anymore feedback on such deals... I have nothing else going on other than placing in a few screenplay contests...this can give my project a chance...but it may also limit my success. What would you do? Thanks Jay

Call me computer illiterate, if you want, (even though I trained as a computer programmer in and around 1987!) but I have never tried to use Skype and have a pretty stupid question. I cannot use Skype without a video cam, correct? Also, is there a subscription or fee associated with Skype services?
