Funniest line ever from the coverage you did on the on my script: "Something like seeing the track star winning and rubbing it in the losers’ faces, other actions that say “I’m superior, I’m The Perfect” . " HIlllllarious! Thanks again.

Now that I think about it ... yeah, that was funny! I had a good laugh. Good to hear from you Brandi. I saw you posted Psycho Therapy on Zoetrope, gona read it soon. BTW - Zoetrope rocks, thanks so much for hooking me up with that.
Nice. I'll see you on there.
Any recommendations on script coverage services? Good ones, no so good ones, lessons learned?

Expand commentDawn, you have to ask yourself what you're looking to get out of the service, if you are looking for an overview of genuine feedback on the story, characters, dialogue, themes etc. There is a plethora of services that can help, but a select few who have the writer's best interest at heart, Joey here on Stage 32 is known for his Herculean efforts for writers and Danny knows what he's talking about. If you need something more detailed -- like page by page notes that will get your script in tip-top shape, you are looking at much more than what is being defined as 'coverage'. Do stay away from any site that will not tell you who is reading your script, as they are most likely just in it for the money.

Expand commentAmi, no you shouldn't ever send your coverage report in with a submission. Ever. Whatever company you send it to will generate their own and very often notes or coverage reports will include phrases that YOU think sound wonderful and complimentary, but execs and agents know it's actually code for "this writer isn't good enough yet." For instance, if the first line of your coverage or notes is "you have a solid premise and concept" the subtext of that is "but it's not well-written enough" OR "but the story goes in the wrong direction." Because otherwise the first line of the notes would likely be "You have a well-written script with a great concept." Execs know how to read between the lines.

Kelvin, do you have any finished (or near finished) scripts I could read?
I'm doing a little more polishing on a couple of scripts at the moment.
Mr Leyes, I'd love to see your writing and read something if I could.
Stephen, do you have any finished (or near finished) scripts I could read?
Laurie, do you have any finished (or near finished) scripts I could read?

A middle-aged techie chained to his business helps a wounded vet recover a mysterious love story off a dead hard drive he meant as a Christmas present, forcing both men to face change they fear.
This already looks very well written. Looking forward to checking it out!
I live in Vista, looking to start a group to read each others' scripts and give honest, useful feedback. Not really interested in anything else. You?
If your script isn't quite ready for the pros and you need some honest feedback from a serious writer who understands what you're trying to do, let's talk. I'll read yours, maybe you'll read mine. Honest feedback.

Just wanted to check on your page, since it's been a while. I really like your upbeat take on the world, man! Comedy is hard to do. Let me know when it's finished and I will take a look if you like.
