The feral mutation of institutional arts education, James Terrell’s (b.1984) concert music represents the de facto symbol of the artist and maintains pride of place among various templates for the creative process, including performance, poetry, criticism, visual arts and new media. Though primarily an autodidact, James holds a B.Mus. in Performance from Columbus State University and a M.Mus. in Composition from the University of Massachusetts where his teachers included Andrew Zohn and Salvatore Macchia, respectively. Currently, James creates in the great state of Alabama.
