I always find it funny to talk about myself and the industry. Boasting about success and trying to make myself look bigger and brighter than the reality.
The reality is, I'm constantly working on progressing my career as a content creator. I've had more non-successes than successes, although of recent years the opposite is true. So I feel that through time and wisdom, my success rate is getting higher.
Who am I? I've been in the film and television industry for over 13 years. I've been a PA, an office assistant, a writer, a consultant, an editor, I've managed my own small media company, I've worked with major brands around the world, major projects, indie projects, and have had some success, thankfully, to say that I hold a career doing what I love. Creating content.
But something's missing. I want to develop and create my own IP. Currently, I'm maybe a few blocks away from this dream, as I've already had successful pitches with major studios and distributes, the next step is those pitches being fully put into production as myself being the show creator.
So to attain that goal, I write. Every day. I write a ton of different ideas, I rarely write full screenplays anymore unless the pitch package shows/takes interest, and instead I write anything I can daily. Ideas, books, stories, experiences. I just keep the fingers moving.
I'm here to hopefully build a network with those who are above me, those who I can learn from, those with more experience and who are willing to share their thoughts. I'm also here to help :)
Good luck!
