Bill Stankay is a musician & sound architect from Pittsburgh, PA. His music flows into multiple streams, utilizing innovative sound architecture to shape the sonic landscapes in his work. In late 2011, he launched the AXA experience, releasing the debut EP "Prelude to Sunfall" through his own private label. He followed the EP with a number of collaborations, working with producers, artists & filmmakers on a variety of remixes & independent films as he continued to develop more of his original music from his studio in Pittsburgh.
In the summer of 2012, Bill traveled to the Arctic region of Svalbard to develop his newest work - an extension of his ambient Tones & Shadows project - called Earthtones. After returning to the US, he posted a journal of his travels accompanied by an exclusive preview of the upcoming album, featuring the mysterious sounds of the Arctic wildlife seamlessly blended with his own musical interpretation of the remote region. In 2013, Bill continued to expand his musical output by releasing the first two singles from his electronic Amphibicopter project. In addition to his studio work, he has also launched a brand new live show that encompasses elements of all of his original creations.
