Thanks for the request, Peace!
Glad I found your post. You're so right that the arts drive culture and society. Anybody gets in your way, art your way right past them.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members pay it forward and invite at least 5 fellow creatives and to spread the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. You can also invite fellow creatives through the site by using the "Send Stage 32 Invites..." button on the upper right side of your profile. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities. Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I'm thinking of writing a feature script about a conservative young married woman falling in love with her gay best friend. I've always wanted to do a story like this. I just want to see what people think about it.
Write it. I don't think you've posted a logline here, just your idea. There are a lot of conflicts and interesting stories in something like this, so why not go for it. The very worst that can happen is you'll get more experience writing screenplays :-)
I'd read it. Go for it.
If anyone says it's a bad idea, that's pretty much your green light to write it.
Sounds crazy, right? But do you have a particular article of clothing that you have to wear to get inspired? Currently, I am wearing this one wool cap for this horror script that I am working on and my wife brought it to my attention so I wanted to see if anyone else had similar habits.
In some interview, Susannah Grant (ERIN BROCKOVICH) said she writes naked. I tried this once, and Starbucks kicked me out.

I once knew an artist (quite famous) Puck, who did some of his work whilst in a Natzi concentration camp. He swopped rations for paper and made sketches, now shown in art galleries all over Europe. People may try to take everything, but luckily art is "hard wired" .

I hold myself back at times and need to break the written bonds of expression to fully go balls to the wall! We put up our own barriers and at times, convincing outselves we need certain items to write is just a block we do to ourselves. Wrap yourself in the story and write!
