Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone wanted to meet up in Edinburgh. Hopefully see you soon!
Hey everyone, I was going to have the meet up on Saturday 15th November at the Tron Bar on Hunter's Square just off the Royal Mile at 14:00. Hopefully see you there! I'll be waiting outside.
See you there Alistair, how easy is it to get to that place by car, including parking? Plus how would I recognise you?

There is parking on Chambers Street near the University which is just one street away. I will be standing outside the bar waiting for people and I will have a brown coat and scarf on. See you soon!

I'm planning to move South next year and need to save enough money for that. However, if there are other meet-ups in future - judging by the number of people who couldn't make it to this one I think that's a good idea - I would be interested.

Now I am living in Lidingo, an island on the east side of Stockholm, Sweden. Nowadays I am writing a lot. In 2008 I published a poetry book with the title 'In Other Words". The first world I live in is education as a Professor of Business and an Approved Tutor of the Edinburgh Business School, Hariot-Watt University, Scotland. On the performing arts side, I am also a very successful actor and producer, now working exclusively in film and have completed two films in the last two years. I am currently producing a new indie philosophical drama short film entitled, "A Look Inside," which I am also one of the lead actors. (know anyone wanting to inve$t in an incredibly good film..I'm open to new investors. :) Previously, in the USA, I was a leading actor, producer, and director on stage and in commercial television and radio for nearly 30 years.
You should come to Warsaw.
Really?
Yeah why not?
Been to Warsaw too. Great city as well.
To all; I was just in Warsaw and Berlin two weeks ago...great cities.
Talent Agents/Managers: Kindly post your comments and share detailed information as to what caused you to no longer want to represent a particular talent. This information will help other talent learn how not to cross their middle man.
You're welcome Jeff...good luck with your acting career :)
Still need to be represented.

Expand commentMy most uncomfortable and distressing case of releasing a talent from my Agency's books was for dishonesty when that talent broke a trust in a business deal not associated with the agency itself. When someone you have admired and respected for years promises a payment and then fails to keep their word, they have lost their integrity and any respect they might have commanded. As someone once said to me: "Integrity is like virginity: you only lose it once and you can never get it back".
Incidentally, no Agency should charge ANYTHING for taking a talent onto their books. At NOVA:The New Orleans Voice Agency, we represent talent on a non-exclusive basis and take commission only for work which we have generated and/or handled on talent behalf.
Here's a blog I recently posted, that shares some insight on this subject. http://blog.castingnetworks.com/3945

Once he introduced her to his site STAGE 32 she'd been shopping for Writers and Scripts she could go out with. Checking in has paid off: last weekend Babz found on Stage 32 PJ and read her script HEAVEN SENT and was blown away. Babz says "You know talent when you read it. You know market ready when you hear it and you know marketable product when you find it. We found all that and more in PJ. A consummate wordsmith, witty and kind, PJ has many genres under her belt. We are already writing a deal for her. We are in debt to Stage 32 in more ways than I can say; THANK YOU STAGE 32!"
Great to be networked!! Cheers! :)
Go, PJ! She's a very talented writer. I know PJ and her work from American Zoetrope.
Greg, thank you for the kind words. :)
You've been at this game a loooooong time. I'm glad to see things are happening for you.
Such good news! Kudos!!
Okay, so I'm looking for something quite specific, however when I went to put it into "find talent", there wasn't an exact match and I was wondering if you could help me out in identifying the nearest thing? What I am looking for is a "title designer" (the term I found used on IMDb) for a web series? My initial thoughts were Visual Effects but I think I may be wrong- if you could help me out here that would be much appreciated! Thanks!!
