Rodrigo Vasconcelos

Rodrigo was born in Cascais, Portugal. After an Audiovisual Communication course at the school of Arts Antonio Arroio, he attended Ar.Co, one of the most well regarded Art Colleges in the Portuguese capital, where he studied Photography and History of Art. He then stepped away from his own roots, moving to the UK where he achieved a BA (Hons) Photography and Electronic Imaging Degree at the University of the West of England, Bristol.

He worked with international renowned photographer Bruno Sequeira as a traditional printer for his major exhibitions “Panjim Inn” and “Modern Lodge” and later as a Commercial Photography Assistant for Maquina Invisivel, a 500m2 studio in Lisbon, where he assisted advertising photographer Filipe Rebelo, his clients included Vodafone, Renault, Danone, MTV and others.

His latest work experience include working as an Art director and Photographer for Multimedia Agency; Ambience Production, and as a Photo Editor and Photojournalist for Redz Communications Enterprise.

Rodrigo's natural and spontaneous work is marked by its own contour and subtle compositions, not only allowing an emphasis on the subject and theme being portrait, but also stressing on an aesthetic and visual orientation of his artistic concepts.
