Sharmane Franklin Johnson is an independent producer and filmmaker. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a bachelors degree in Film & Digital Media in 2003. After a few years of working as a Production Assistant for Cable Access and short films including the all female cast/crew short Pink Dress, Sharmane moved to Austin, TX where she worked as the Office Manager for the Austin Film Festival. In 2011, her husband's career moved them across the country to Southern Massachusetts, where she has continued work in film on the horror film, The House Across The Street, and as associate producer on The Opus 139 Project: To Hear The Music. She will graduate from Full Sail University's Entertainment Business Master program in October 2013. Sharmane is in post-production as writer/direct for the short film 'Origins' coming out in 2014.
