About Nancy

I started out as an English major in college intending to teach. I attended graduate school but could not find a job. I moved to New England and began to study voice while supporting myself with various jobs. I sang in many different venues around the Boston area: jazz clubs, blues clubs and the Center for Arts in Belmont Massachusetts.

I joined AFTRA and began studying speaking voice. This led to professional voice work which carried me into acting. I joined the Screen Actors Guild and began to study acting. I have worked on various movies, television pilots, industrials and also did several commercials.

Writing has been a passion of mine throughout my life. I wrote for my high school newspaper. I have also published magazine and newspaper articles in addition to Op Ed pieces. Several years ago I attended Ernest Thompson's "Write on Golden Pond" weekend. I wrote my first play: "Under the Rose Arbor" which was performed in front of an audience and was well received.

After this I began studying screenwriting at the Maine Media Institute. Next I was invited to attended to 2 Advanced Screenwriting seminars facilitated by Wayne Beach who is a teacher and also a screenwriter. I am currently working on a acreenplay and several short stories. I am also planning to get back into acting this year. In addition to this my husband and I own a successful small business.
