Héctor Escandell (Ibiza, 1978) is a filmmaker with more than twenty years of experience. He has written and directed 12 short films, screened at 80 festivals in more than 15 countries (including Cannes Short Film Corner, Sitges or Mórbido), and a feature film, «The Crimes of All Hallows' Day», which was theatrically released. He currently has three projects in development: two feature films, «Incestum» (presented at Sitges Coming Soon 2018) and «The Giant of Es Vedrà and other Fairy Tales» (shooting stage), and the True Crime TV series «The trail of El Arropiero», based on the life of the greatest serial killer in the history of Spain. Since 2019 he is a member of the Spanish Film Academy.
