Peter is versatile composer and performer creating music in a variety of genres - from contemporary and classical to pop, folk, world music, electronic and period music. Born in Europe, he ventured onto the music career path in Australia where he founded band Umanee, which toured Australia performing original fusion of ancient poetry with Nordic and Middle Eastern folklore. He graduated from Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne with a Degree in Music Composition.
He is continuously engaging in collaborations with artists from across disciplines of arts including video games, film, experimental cinematography, dance theatre and puppetry. Recently, he is collaborating with French group of performing artists and sculptors () where his music is a dynamic medium for contemporary dance and visual arts.
Peter also created sound installations for Museum of Anthropology in Vancouver (2011) and currently is a recipient of “Bayside Artist Residency” award (Melbourne, Australia) as well as a finalist of international scoring competition "Indie Gathering 2010" (Iowa, USA). His recent album for short film "The Journey" (premiered May 2013 on Cannes Festival) have just become available on iTunes and Amazon MP3.
His previous solo project (“Moonrise” LP) is a result of study and research on forgotten musical traditions and ancient instruments from around the world – like hurdy-gurdy, overtone flutes, bagpipes or lutes - within a contemporary artistic context.
