I co-manage (and co-founded) Portland Screenwriters Workshop, which has been meeting every Monday night in SE Portland, close to Downtown, since January 2005. We read each others' material, read screenplays, and engage in screenplay exercises because we love film and the process of writing. It's a small social group of various ages, writing styles, and genres, and meets in a public venue. While our group has focused on movie screenplays, we have also worked on TV pilots/episodes and two series of "webisodes". The commitment to attend and to write regularly is an expectation of the group.
