About Robbie

I'm here for the underdogs - in stories, movies and in real life. For me, every great story is the story of the outsider, someone trying hard to win on their own terms against overwhelming odds, the story of the underdog.

As a writer/director and as a person who came from nothing, I'm drawn to the maverick, marginalised characters who have been written off by society and I live to write and make impactful, compelling films that expose our fears and anxieties, hopes and dreams, and reinforce our common humanity.

My first success was with the BAFTA nominated short RANK, and I have since written and directed award winning films and tv. My first feature film ATLANTIC HEART premiered at PAFF in LA, was selected at SIFF (Seattle) and sold to Amazon Studios in 2020. You can watch it now on Amazon Prime.

I'm also here to get involved. Film making is a team effort and so I designed and built the Underdog Studio in Brighton, UK, a pre-lit production studio created for film makers, storytellers and first timers who want to just turn up and start filming. That float your boat? If so, let's connect and collaborate.
