About Rene

René Claveau is a produced screenwriter for features, television, and shorts. He has sold spec scripts, written as a work-for-hire, and runs screenwriting workshops and courses. He is a script consultant, story analyst, and development consultant, and has written professional script coverage for various online screenplay services.

He is also the Organizer for the Vancouver Screenwriters Meetup Group, one of the largest community groups for screenwriters in Canada, and the Local Coordinator for the Vancouver chapter of the International Screenwriters Association.

In addition to screenwriting, he also has experience in various filmmaking roles including Script Supervisor, First Assistant Director, Sound Slate, Gaffer, Grip, Production Assistant, Assistant Locations Manager, colourist, editor, and VFX.
