About Christopher
The director of Timebender, Chris Ouimet, started to pursue a career in film in late 2006. It was during that time, that Chris was accepted to Emerson College’s Master’s Program in Visual Media. The acceptance to Emerson College was largely based on the first two acts of a feature screenplay that Mr. Ouimet wrote in the fall of 2006. The title of this screenplay was “Timebender.”
As a film student, Chris worked on half a dozen short films in different facets: including, director, producer, camera operator, screen writer, boom mic operator etc. In the summer of 2008, as part of Emerson College’s LA Program, Mr. Ouimet worked as a development intern at the production company Sekretagent located in Hollywood, California. Mr. Ouimet came to realize toward the end of his time at Emerson College that he needed to get a short film made after graduating. To start getting people interested in the story of Timebender, Mr. Ouimet had the epiphany that the story should start off as a short film.
In the fall of 2009, Mr. Ouimet began pre-production on his first film outside of film school. It would take a year to get a tight script, a cast, a crew together and start filming. By fall 2010, the crew of Timebender had grown from one individual to nearly twenty, and the cast was set. Timebender began filming in late October 2010.
In late summer 2011, the film is at the end of post production, and will be entered into festivals around the country. On a personal note, Chris would like to thank the cast and crew of Timebender for all their hard work.
