Kary Feick is a broadcast journalism student at Madonna University. Outside Madonna University, Feick operates camera at Plymouth Whalers Hockey games in Plymouth, Michigan, as part of Schoolcraft College Sports Network. She is passionate about becoming a Multimedia Journalist, and is equipped with the skills to write well under pressure, making her a good candidate for her journalist career.
Feick recently completed the Capstone Film Class at Madonna University. This is a year-long film class in which the students write, produce, shoot, and edit their own film. Feick held many jobs on the film, but two stand out: 2nd Assistant Director - Crew and VP of Marketing and Publicity. She gained experience, developed leadership skills, and learned a few things about herself along the way. Feick became known as the classmate other students on the production team could go to for help.
Born in Southfield, Mich. and residing in Northville, Mich., Feick enjoys Madonna University's close location. She has also lived in Zurich, Switzerland, received an international experience, and gained a different outlook on life. Feick plans to live in Michigan in the future and work for a local news station. Though, she may want to work in Chicago, Los Angeles, or New York, once she gains more experience.
Feick enjoys sharing thoughts, exploring news stories, and writing movie reviews. She currently writes for the Madonna Herald, Madonna’s internal newspaper. Feick participates in the Hollywood PAHfest (Project Accessible Hollywood film festival) trips with the Broadcast and Cinema Arts department, where she writes on the blog and posts videos. With continued hard work, dedication, and persistence, Feick expects to graduate in May 2013 with two Bachelor of Arts degrees, and she plans to follow her dream job as a Multimedia Journalist.
