About Mel

Born and raised in New York city. He is a graduate of The William Esper Studio and a long time member of the award winning LAByrinth Theater Company and The Actors Studio Playwright-Director Unit.
He is currently in a co-filicilatator for LITCouncil Men of Color Playwright Residency. His plays have been presented in New York, San Diego, Rochester, Chicago and Los Angeles. He is a two time semi-finalist of The Princess Grace Playwright Fellow.
Most recently his first pilot script, On The Boulevard was a 2020 Semi-finalist for the HollyShorts Screenplay competition and a quarter-finalist for the 2020 Los Angeles International Screenplay awards.
