Hi Sandra, do you know if there are any agents in the Portland area who represent screenwriters?
Hi Bruce, I'm a screenwriter, and moved to Hood River last last year from Portland. I've been wanting to connect with the film community here, so it's good to find you.
Hi John... I'm mainly involved in stage, but there are quite of few of us here (Columbia Arts) that also have some film experience... Let's have coffee sometime and chat about our community.
Well, this shows how much time I spend here! Sorry I forgot about you. I actually live in Mosier now. What times of the week are good for you to meet up?
Hi Bruce, let's try this again. Sundays and Monday evenings are best for us (my wife who's not on Stage32).
Just curious to hear anyone's experience with hiring a Script Consultant or Script Doc. I just finished a first draft and considering hiring one particularly pricey NYC Script coach to help fast track the rewrite process so I can start sending it out. But I just can't wrap my head around the fees. Any thoughts?
Padma, if you ever want a free set of eyes on something let me know :-)
Thanks Ed surely I would take your help.
I have used Leo The Script Guy from LA. He was great and gave me an in depth breakdown of the strengths and weaknesses of my script. Other good ones are Brett Stanning in Australia and Pilar Alessandra.
Thanks for accepting my request. i hope we work on something in the future. :)
Thanks for connecting!

I thought I had 6 out of 7 stories done, but have now decided to rewrite one completely, plus I haven't even started "Santa Takes a Vacation." I need 36 hour days. My writing partner and I have kicked around ideas for two new screenplays but haven't made a move yet. We love comedies--clever, funny, good-natured comedies that is, not ones that depend on fart jokes, bodily fluids, drunken revels and stupid stunts for their "humor." Clearly we're out of step, but we're hoping the pendulum will swing back to films that depend on sophistication, language and plot for their impact. We'll see.
Thanks for inviting me to join your network. I'm in Vancouver, WA, so we're (sort of) neighbors. (it's a long story) We were the first to do this, first film/video production house in central Kalimantan. very few foreigners have ever been to this island and it's still a bit like the wild west. However we love it here and have the ambitious vision to make it a new landmark in film productions. "Kaliwood" from central Kalimantan. Since founding the company we have been traveling around Indonesia producing documentary and nature films, films for tourism, corporate, governments, NGO's, music clips etc. Now we are in pre-production of television shows and feature films. We are always looking for people who have the pioneering spirit and are interested in collaborating with us. Currently we have open permanent Job positions for Indonesian citizens. (dditors, videographers, junior directors). I invite anyone fromanywhere to get in touch with me and learn more about Borneo Productions International...the people, the projects and the dream..
That is awesome. I would love to make a movie in Indonesia. Best of luck guys!
greetings from Jakarta... WUOTB!
Great and wish you the best
