I do grip and lighting mostly in the Chattanooga, TN area, but have ventured out to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida (among other closer places). I interned at PC&E a grip/lighting/camera rental house and soundstage in Atlanta. I now work with Department Blue, Chattanooga's only grip and lighting rental house. As for crew, I have been grip, BB grip, dolly grip, Key Grip, set electrician, BB electric, and Gaffer; though I am most typically and comfortably Best Boy electric.
I was once pulled over to 1st AC on a commercial shoot, but that was a fluke. I enjoyed it, but don't have any specific background there.
I really enjoy dolly grip, but unfortunately there are few opportunities in Chattanooga for dolly grippery.
