STUART LACHLAN BENNETT is a writer, producer and director with a career in film and television spanning more than 30 years. He began his television career in England where he worked as a film editor for BBC Television and graduated from the BBC film-training program at the prestigious Ealing Film Studios in London.
Stuart has many film and TV credits to his name, and won a Cable Ace Award for best documentary for the Death at Antietam episode of the TLC Archaeology series in 1994. He has produced reality, documentary, magazine and drama productions for international TV networks such as Chinese Central TV, Russia’s Channel 1, Japan’s NHK and also worked for companies in the USA such as The Discovery Channel, ABC and The Christian Broadcasting Network.
As an independent film producer, Stuart produces documentaries and feature length films. He has written seven screenplays and currently has one of his scripts in development. In addition to running his own nonprofit film production company, Lachlan Creative Group (http://www.lachlancg.org), Stuart is Vice President of the Board of Directors of ASSIST News Network, an international news organization, and he is a board member of Safe From Slavery, a faith-based organization that fights human trafficking and provides safe accommodation for survivors of sexual exploitation in the U.K. More information is available about Stuart on his website: www.stuartbennett.net
