Sid Gustafson is a novelist and veterinarian. He is an animal behaviorist specializing in developing willing partnerships between domestic animals and their human guardians. He is the equine behaviour educator at the University of Guelph. In addition to teaching, he practices veterinary medicine in Montana. Sid writes for the New York Times, represents the health and welfare of racehorses across America, and is the author of HORSES THEY RODE, High Plains Novel of the Year in 2007. His most recent non-fiction is Horse Behaviour, The Nature of Horses. PRISONERS OF FLIGHT was Sid’s debut novel published in 2003.
