Hello Elisa, I'm a sound man responding to your posting in Craigslist for your shoot.I have all my own gear and I do it all myself in the old school tradition where you hear it all clearly and perfectly (gee, why am I not working on Sons of Anarchy or Bill Mahar's show,-where you have to blast your TV just to hear it?): the Sennheiser MKH 416shotgun mic-used in basically every movie you've ever seen, theZoom H4n digital recorder (the new industry standard that provides superior sound quality, used on movies like"Argo"and"The Hobbit: an Unexpected Journey", is also the preferred recorder of every rental shop), and a pair of Beyerdynamic noise-cancelling headphones for superior sound detail (more gear available if needed as I have a small budget to get other gear), and a Audio-Technica lav mic, used for Interviews. I can also enhance the recorded audio via my Pro Tools studio. I can also transfer the raw audio into your hard drive or onto any other media desirable. A unique file gets created for each take, and it is recorded in a way that gives you lots of headroom to play with in post without distorting.In either case, you get a clean, crisp, digital audio recording that is reliable and fool-proof. In fact, the recordings sound so good that I have YET to have anyone ask for me to “fix” any of the raw audio that I’ve recorded so far!
