About Charlie

My name is Charles Kane and I am a filmmaker, screenwriter, and standup comedian based out of the Philadelphia area. My experience so far has been in music videos and commercials as far as behind the camera is concerned, and journalism, comedy, and short fiction for writing.

I am interested in the fantastic realities of life, how small moments pile up in the grand scheme of things, how lives connect, how millions of these events could lead to one profound moment. I like to explore stories that see everyday life through a larger lens, often in the genre of magical realism.

Practically, I would like to work with local casts and crews in a variety of roles, learn everything I can, and develop a close creative community here in Philly.
