Devon Volkel

Devon is a lifelong native of Colorado where she lives with her husband, young son and three dogs. Even as a child Devon liked to write, creating pop-up books until poetry found her at the age of twelve which she used as an outlet for trying times. This was never more so when she developed cancer, where she used this negative experience positively to become a novelist and add to her repertoire as a poet. When Devon is not writing, she takes care of her diabetic son and her household whilst also attending community college. She hopes to eventually transfer to Colorado State University to attain a degree in English and continue creating beautiful stories for people to enjoy. She also loves anything outdoorsy: biking, hiking, camping, snowboarding, shooting.
