"The Still/Portrait Photographer's primary job is to interpret the project in single frames which accurately represent the story, production value, stars, and feeling of the show." (Gottlieb-Walker et al. 2013: 1)
Combining my passions of film, theatre and photography, Unit Still Photography has been the perfect career for me. I have the ability to work on set silently, through the use of a AquaTech Sound Blimp, while also keeping a respectful distance from the crew at work. I enjoy working with actors to capture those key moments, as well as achieving unique behind-the-scenes shots. Having previously worked as a press photographer, I understand what is required to create a publishable photograph, vital for when marketing a project.
Unique traits: Establishing my own photography business at the age of sixteen, partnered with Frank Ring, I have always been quick to learn on-the-job. Working as a freelance photographer has given me the ability to gain an abundance experience in a variety of fields. My portfolio is multifaceted, comprising of wedding, sport, theatrical and film photography. Feedback from clients is important to me and I ensure I meet and exceed all of their needs, however where or if there are issues, I deal with them in a professional manner and always to the customer’s satisfaction.
