Fourteen years ago, I started out as a one-man-band indie filmmaker, but I've since worked on all kinds of projects, both personal as well as corporate and commercial, in lots of capacities. The big highlight of my career so far is my first feature documentary, A Place to Stand,, which tells the story of the early life of poet Jimmy Santiago Baca. This film will be broadcast nationally in 2018.
At the moment, in addition to freelance and contract work, my heart and soul are going into a couple of projects centered around buffalo (bison) set on the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana. One is fiction, one is non-fiction and both are being produced through Thunderheart Films, which I co-founded with actor/producer Sarah Clarke in 2017.

The film features voices from all sides of the struggle - Blackfeet elders, local conservationists, and even the law firm pushing for oil exploration. All together, they chronicle the epic saga of this unique landscape, stretching back millennia, and the current legal challenge, the outcome of which could determine the fate of sensitive and sacred lands nationwide. One of the highest profile conservation struggles in recent history, Our Last Refuge is the first in-depth telling of this critical story at a moment in time when the stakes are at their highest.
