Maris Lidaka’s interest in a film career began while he was attending high school in Copenhagen, Denmark. Upon graduation, he moved back to his hometown of Chicago to pursue a Film Directing degree at Columbia College.
Over the past decade, Maris has held multiple producing and camera department roles in film, television, and live events, and his in-depth knowledge of these positions has helped him hone his skills as a director. He has directed several short films to date, with Sprout being his latest. He is now in pre-production for Control, a semi-autobiographical short film.
