By Michael LaFata

GENRE: Comedy
LOGLINE:

Five grown orphanage men who never got picked as kids and who still live there, decide to revive a variety show from when they were youngsters, and raise money to save their orphanage.

SYNOPSIS:

The ‘Lil Dirty Diaper Gang… Revisited is an irreverent situation comedy about 5 grown orphan men who still live in their orphanage-- they never got picked! Poor things, with their old caretaker dead (a skeletal nun they keep in the pantry), they manage to live off their monthly dole from the Government.

Things turn bleak once the Government finds out about the men all being over 18. The Government cuts the stipend and demands back taxes. The pressure is on. What are the boys going to do? None of them has ever worked a day in their lives.

On top that that grim news, the mean tycoon, J.B. Bentley who owns the land, is ready to bulldoze the orphanage. Our twisted band of brothers finds themselves in the craziest of situations week after week in an effort to keep the only home they’ve ever known.

There’s Harvey, short, cynical and street-smart; Jayson, the youngest and goofiest, is a tall skinny practical joker; Jay is the voice of reason and the technical genius; William is the quiet, eclectic oddball; and Jarvis is the crazy, uncontrollable ball of energy. Due to their isolation and upbringing, their ways are eccentric and different.

The only person helping our unfit misfits is their social worker, Britney; a hot, busty ex-sorority girl: fifty percent bubbly, fifty percent “dingbat.” Oh, and she also happens to be J.B. Bentley’s illegitimate daughter and generally gets whatever she wants.

To save their home and with help from Britney, the boys decide to resurrect their old variety show from when they were toddlers. Then, they were known as The 'Lil Dirty Diaper Gang and played to sold-out crowds but that was twenty years ago. Do they sill have what it takes to make people laugh again? Can they really make enough money performing to make ends meet?

With their orphanage at stake, they manage to pull off a new show every week. Thank god Britney’s there to smooth things out for the boys and keep them focused. She adores them and can relate being a Bastard child. Oh and she thinks they’re fun too, like glitter at Christmas.

The Government and J.B. Bentley are kept at bay as the boys somehow meet their monthly financial obligations. Each episode brings new laughs as the boys climb themselves out of a pickle while preparing for the weekend show. Of which, as a TV audience, we never see. With the help of Britney and comedic sketches weaving throughout the show, the boys paint a picture of irreverence and fun.
