Sarah Lorien: Music composer and musician in Sydney, Australia.

Kris Monroe
Composer for Men in Drag.

I am writing a Murder Mystery Play for a live dinner theatre event. Think of a cabaret/vaudeville style structure to the show. The actors mingle with the audience, while putting on a show. Plenty of improvisational opportunity for the actors, with a good amount of scripted dialogue and story. Some p...

HI Kris, Greetings from Sydney! This track is an instrumental. Starts off very sparse, double bass comes in at 40 seconds. It may suit somewhere in your production. Sarah http://www.reverbnation.com/a...

Aqualash - They Say Surrender

From the Aqualash EP "Blue Notes", we're also very proud to have this song included in the film "The Revenant" http://www.therevenantmovie.com/ It is a song of extreme love, destined love, unwavering love - Originally inspired by the fair-fanged folk of TrueBlood and used in this case to perfectly represent the love between a couple - one of which has unfortunately been 'turned' into a Revenant (Zombie). The film is fantastic - very dark humour woven into some extremely pertinent social commentary. Again, this song illustrates one of our main styles of composition, lyric and sound.

"Light Waves" by Sarah Lorien (Instrumental)

With a band name of Aqualash it's no surprise water - specifically oceans - is a constant inspiration. This instrumental piece embraces the sound of the waves within its composition. I will also be releasing a version of this piece without the background sounds - it is a work in progress.

"America" by Aqualash - from "Blue Notes" EP

This video was created using Public Domain footage and stock footage. It has been a while since I've done much video editing, but this is one of the more recent projects and a favourite - working with footage like this is a delight - although I'm here on Stage 32 predominantly for music. Aqualash (Michael Trifunovic and myself) composed, performed and produced the song, "America". It is an example of our sound and style and has been added to a number of music libraries due to its suitability for film/tv. We also have a number of instrumental pieces, some written as stand-alone pieces and others composed specifically for soundtracks.
