Kate Powers

Kate is an accomplished director, creator, playwright & screenwriter. She has been involved in the creative, technical and administrative aspects of theatrical & television and film production for over 43 years. For the last fifteen years Kate has dedicated much of her career to the development of new artists and their work.

As a director, although experienced in all genres, Kate loves the challenge of a fast paced farce or musical. She has worked with actors of all ages, at both amateur and professional levels and has directed productions in theaters throughout the United States.

Kate has currently relocated back to New York to continue her directing & writing career. Kate recently created two New Reality Competition Shows, that are currently in development and under Network consideration. She has written several plays and musicals as well as two children's book that will will be published later this year and is writing the film adaptation of the best selling trilogy, "The Dickinson Odyssey"

Kate's  original adult drama, "A Question of Time"recently premiered in NY at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre Spring New Works Festival 2014. The show was very well received and is currently in development to be moved to Off Broadway for an extended run .

Kate is interested and currently available for future directing opportunities. She is currently living in New York City but is available to travel.
