About Roy

After performing in theater and stand up comedy I wound up in the writing game. I'm a published author (Berkley-Penguin) who works solo and in collaboration with my wife, a former professional dancer. In 2009 (under pen-name Allyson Roy) we won a Daphne du Maurier Award for excellence in mystery and suspense with our book, APHRODISIAC. I'm not shy so I'll come out and say it - I can write comedy with the best of them. For inner peace I work out like a demon at the gym and watch boxing on HBO. Can't get enough of that 'sweet science.'
