A graduate of Southern Methodist University, John has been working in the film industry for the last five years. In 2006 he completed a feature documentary titled NO TALENT GENIUSES under his then company banner Red Rock Entertainment. From there he directed, edited and produced several music videos for local bands in the Dallas, Texas area. In 2009 he moved to New York City to continue his growth in the industry.
He produced over 20 short films and three music videos from 2009 to 2011. John began working at Cinetic Media and helped in the distribution of the Banksy feature documentary EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP. From there he moved to Scott Rudin Productions where an intended three-month stay turned into a two-year long run with the company. While there he worked on films such as THE SOCIAL NETWORK, GIRL WITH A DRAGON TATTOO, TRUE GRIT, MOONRISE KINGDOM and THE DICTATOR and was also fortunate enough to have worked on two theater shows, THE BOOK OF MORMON and MOTHERF***ER WITH A HAT.
After his time with Scott Rudin, John went on to work for independent producer Terry Leonard. While with Terry, John worked on two feature films HOW TO BE A MAN and COLD COMES THE NIGHT featuring Bryan Cranston.
He is currently working on several feature projects ranging from low budget to multi-million dollar productions. Also in his portfolio are several television shows, a web series, and his most current passion project; a graphic novel that takes a different spin on the story of the Greek Gods.
