I trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in NYC and was coached by Susan Batson for another two years as well(she coaches Nicole Kidman, Juliette Binoche and Oprah Winfrey). I produced my own one woman show at two theatre festivals in NYC before I decided to move to L.A. After I arrived here I did some stand up comedy and worked with an improve group as well. I love independent film and that's what I focus on right now. I am NOT your typical Hollywood cheerleader type. Casting told me that I’m a mix between a young Kathy Bates from the film “Misery” and the character Bridget Jones. Playing intense, expressive, quirky, neurotic and funny characters with a dark twist is what I am good at. Besides English, I speak my mother language German, I am fluent in Spanish and intermediate in French. I believe in team work and an collaborative effort. Thank you and all the best! Fran

Similar to "Internations" if you know that site? I am still figuring out this site and connecting with people online, would love to meet them in real life too though! Thanks for your input!
Fran, I admire how you are following your dreams! We are a similar type! Gina
Thank you Gina!
Nice to meet you. :)
Dear Stage-32ers! Does anyone know of a good and affordable dialect coach in L.A. who can teach me American Standard? Or maybe you can recommend a class at a community college/school/uni? Please contact me if you know of anything! I appreciate your input! Thank you! xx

Have a great weekend and watch the SAG Awards tonight!
Oh, and my website: www.jillmassie.com
Hi Jill! I have to get rid of my German accent. Could you please send me a private message about your rate/exact physical location (I might be able to commute)...? Thank you!
Newly active on Stage 32. I am a dialect coach. Also direct and produce some. Used to act – now very rarely. My team and I work on all sorts of accents, dialects and languages. No project too obscure.

I work with actors from all over the world via Skype with great results, but if you prefer to (sit in traffic) to meet with someone in person in LA, I highly recommend that you contact Pamela Vanderway at www.dialectcoaches.com. If she is not available to work with you herself, she should be able to find you the right coach. (And give her my regards.) Best, Doug
Doug, how much do you charge for your skype sessions? i'd love to learn a few accents especially british so that I am able to go to more auditions.
Hi, Dan. Rates vary with the nature of the job. I'll message you with specifics, but you can also find out more about what I do at my website. Best, Doug
Hi Doug, thank you for this info!!
If you are wondering if mr. honorof is legit just look at his IMDB page. That is impressive. busy guy right there.

Hi Franziska, Looks like you're an LA implant like myself. I think I've missed your film during the HollyShorts FF, then again, I only made it out there for one night. How is your comedy search coming along? Keeping busy I hope.
Hi Tomasz!! Yes, I have lived in NYC for a few years before moving to L.A.! You are right, very busy times, got accepted into a theatre group and am producing a short whilst creating a stand up gig with a friend as well,.... time to make things happen!! :)

They have open mic, and often times offer helpful suggestions to improve your routines. What's your short about? If you need help with it, don't forget to utilize your connections here on Stage 32.
