About Mike

Mike Meehan is a Los Angeles based Film, TV, and Video Game composer, coming out of Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control where he has composed additional score for CBS’ “Cold Case”, Showtime’s “The Tudors”, and Dreamworks’ “Megamind”,

 In 2014 he composed score for Dreamworks Animation's movie ride "Adventure to Santa", starring Shrek and co. He's also scored advertising campaigns for Nintendo, Bethesda ("Skyrim", "Dishonored"), and Capcom. He has contributed original score to various Dreamworks Animation apps and composed the score for "Midway Arcade Origins", released on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. He's scored a number of features and shorts including the award winning drama "Claire", and has scored various commercials for Nike, Fiat, Radioshack and Burger King.

Unique traits: I love collaborating with film makers. It's such a rewarding and fun experience, working together to find the spirit of a film. It presents interesting and fun challenges, and going through that process as a team makes for the best working experience, and lasting friendships! I like to compose instrumental music, but love writing songs when I get the opportunity. I think I have a classical soul but a hunger to embrace what is happening in the present also.
